Black Arrow Prospero X-1 / X1.5 : BitcoinMining

Beginner looking for answers to a few questions if possible

Hey guys. I am looking at starting a small bitcoin operation (not sure the proper lingo yet) and I did some research a long time ago but now it seems like the hardware is a lot different than it was. I just have a few questions before I look at buying hardware.
  1. I am looking at Black Arrow's Prospero X-1 just to get my feet wet. Does this device work out of the box? Is there any other hardware I need before making this device work?
  2. Their website says that after 15 days, my $230 machine will make $682. Using an online calculator I see that they are pretty close. Is that profit reliable?
  3. Any tips for beginners? Or anything I should know before I get started?
Thanks guys and I look forward to being a part of the bitcoin community!

Is this a good or bad idea?

Hi, this is my first time on this sub reddit and I thought this would be the best place to get a good opinion for someone who is not very good with the whole bitcoin thing.
I stumbled across the Black Arrow Prospero X-1 today and from my understanding it seems very good for the money. High mining speed to low power consumption. I'm trying to get money together for a new computer and I was wondering how long it would take for the Prospero to pay it's self off and then make around $700? Would it be a good investment? And has anyone here got one and if yes what do you think of it?

Complete noob looking to go into Mining.

I live in South Africa and I'm looking to get into Bitcoin Mining. I have about $6000 to buy a machine and $500 for shipping, thought I doubt shipping will be $500.
I have been looking at machines lately and I've found the Black Arrow Prospero X-3, which roughly has a hashing speed of 2000 Ghash/second. The thing is I'm confused on how to calculate my profit for a year.
I know I have to calculate my power bill for the month and so forth and that Bitcoine/$ exchange and all that changes constantly. My friends suggested that I drop the idea because the Difficulty and the Time per Block will only increase and won't be profitable. Though I also have no idea what those are and why they are a factor in the process, I tried asking this said friend but he's just too much of an ass to explain anything properly to me.
So here's my problem. I have no idea how to find all those values or how to calculate all that information into my monthly revenue. Now I'm here asking what will be my expected profit for a year will be?, if there is to be any? or more importantly how do I calculate all that into a monthly or yearly revenue?
